What to Expect

1st Visit

<>During your first visit, you will receive an explanation of your benefits from our highly qualified front office where they will explain your coverage and responsibilities.

When meeting with the physical therapist, he will listen to all your complaints and make a problem list. The therapist will explain your condition and make sure you have a good understanding of what positions or exercises can exacerbate or alleviate your symptoms. The PT will perform all tests and measurements needed in order to determine your individual plan of care. You will also receive a Home Exercise Program that will address your specific deficits.

2nd Visit

On your second visit, you can expect a review of your home exercise program and alter it, if necessary. You will be assigned a therapeutic exercise program that will be initiated in our physical therapy gym.

Following Visits

During subsequent visits you can expect a progression of therapeutic exercise program as well as changes in manual techniques to address remaining deficits. You will also begin functional exercises in order to return you to your original level of function before the injury. There will be continued re assessments to monitor your progress towards your goals.

Discharge Visit

Upon discharge, you will be given an upgraded exercise program that will allow you to maintain the gains made since starting therapy. You will also be given the option to join our Post Therapy/ Maintenance program which allows you to continue exercise while under the supervision of a physical therapist.
